Account deletion
This page explains how to delete your account in the AutoEvidencija app (the “App”), what is deleted and what is kept. You can read more about how we process data in the Privacy Policy. This is a translation; if the Serbian and English versions differ, the Serbian version prevails.
Deleting in the App
- Open the App and sign in.
- On the Profil tab, tap the Podešavanja (Settings) icon.
- In the Privatnost (Privacy) section, choose Obriši nalog (Delete account).
- Confirm the deletion.
The date of permanent deletion is then shown in the same place in Settings.
Uninstalling the App from your phone does not delete your account.
Deleting without the App
If you cannot access the App, send your request by email to autoevidencija@gmail.com, with the subject “Account deletion request”, from the email address of your account. If you sign in with a Google account, that is the address of that Google account. If a request arrives from a different address, we will ask you to send it from your account’s address.
So that nobody can delete someone else’s account, we will ask you to confirm the request by replying to our message. After confirmation, we schedule the deletion under the same terms as in the App and let you know, no later than 30 days after receiving the request.
How long deletion takes
The account and its data are permanently deleted from the server 30 days after the deletion is scheduled: in the App, that is the moment you confirm it; for an email request, the moment we schedule it after your confirmation. Until then, you can cancel the deletion in Settings, by tapping Nalog se briše (Account is being deleted), or by writing to the address above. Once that period has passed, the data cannot be recovered.
If you want a copy of your data, request it before the period ends, as described in the Privacy Policy. After permanent deletion, a copy cannot be provided.
What is deleted
The account and all data linked to it are permanently deleted from the server: account data, everything you entered into the App, settings, notifications and device identifiers for notifications.
What is kept
- Correspondence with us, including the deletion request, is kept for no longer than three years from the last message, as proof that we acted on the request.
- A previous username, if you changed it in the last 30 days, stays reserved until that period ends, without any link to the account.
- Technical access logs and database backups are deleted when their retention periods at the data hosting provider expire.
- The copy on your phone is not deleted at the same moment as the account. The App deletes it and signs you out when you open it afterwards with an internet connection. This can be delayed until the sign-in on that phone expires. You can delete it yourself right away: by signing out, uninstalling the App or clearing its data in your phone’s settings. Changes that were not synced with the server stay on the phone, as does technical data that is not account content and is needed for the App and its notifications to work on that device, for example the recorded notification choice. All of this is gone once you uninstall the App or clear its data in your phone’s settings.
Deleting your account in the App does not delete your Google account. If you signed in with Google, you can remove the App’s access to your Google account in your Google account settings.
